Some people use Instagram to post selfies, but Elizabeth Hurley, 54, uses the platform to share epic bikini selfies (in which she’s modeling her eponymous bikini collection, natch). Her latest photo comes from the Maldives, where she’s vacationing at the Cheval Blanc Randheli villas, and her abs look toned as ever.
So, how does the 50-plus model and actress stay in such great shape? Well, Elizabeth previously told Women’s Health that her secret to staying fit comes down to three small things: “Making more time for exercise, eating nutritious foods, and taking the time to do relaxing activities.”
As for the “nutritious foods” aspect, it starts first thing in the morning with two cups of warm water. Elizabeth told The Daily Mail that it “tastes fairly disgusting,” but is “fantastic for your digestive system.” Throughout the day, she makes sure to stay hydrated by carrying a water bottle in her bag. he also avoids processed food at all costs, even going so far as to grow her own food when her son was little. “All through summer we eat fruit and vegetables from my own garden,” she told The Cut. “I used to have a small organic farm, and all the meat my son ate was from the farm. Obviously, that’s not possible for most people, but supporting local farmers wherever you live is a good thing.”
On the exercise front, Liz told Harper’s Bazaar in 2019 that she doesn’t do fitness classes or anything like that. “I don’t exercise, but I am very active,” she said.
Instead of formal sweat seshes, Elizabeth told Extra that gardening is her main form of exercise, like “cutting down a hedge, using my chainsaw to cut down a tree, logging, all of that stuff I do. So, I’m very active.”
Clearly, whatever she’s doing is working for her.
