Kerry Katona asks daughter Heidi if she wants to change her surname after new school nerves

Kerry Katona has admitted to feeling "really bad" for her kids since moving into her dream home up north. The former Atomic Kitten star even asked her daughter Heidi if she wanted to change her surname because she was "worried" about her 14-year-old making friends.

Writing in her weekly new! magazine column, Kerry detailed how busy life has been for her and the kids since the move and said, "I just want them all to be happy." Sign up – for free! – to see how Kerry felt ahead of her new boob job and what she thinks of Danielle Lloyd's baby girl announcement.

First day of school

Heidi had her first day at her new school last week. She was really nervous, bless her. I was worried about her making friends and asked her if she wanted to change her surname so people wouldn’t know she was my daughter, but she said she was proud to be a Katona!

I feel really bad for all the children. They’ve had to move up here and leave their friends. Lilly hasn’t met anyone yet because she hasn’t had a chance to get out and about. I just want them all to be happy.

It’s been a busy time. DJ has been accepted into a private school now, which is amazing. We’re just waiting to get Max into a school and then hopefully things will become a lot more settled.

It's a girl!

I was so happy for Danielle Lloyd after she announced she was expecting a baby girl in new last week. My God, that little girl will be loved!

She’s made no secret of her dreams of having a daughter after having four boys, so I’m really pleased for her. Danielle is such a girlie girl, so I’m sure she’ll enjoy spoiling her and dressing her up.

Of course all you want is for your baby to be healthy, but it’s always nice to have one of each. I was over the moon when I had Max after having three girls.

Home is where the heart is

It’s so nice to be up North… and to be closer to my mum and friends. I saw my best friend Danielle Brown last week. It’s such a nice feeling that she can just pop round for a chat! Once we’re sorted with the house I’m going to organise a barbecue and get everyone round to celebrate.

We still have a long way to go with the house. We have so much that still needs to be delivered and we’re nowhere near done with unpacking. I love being busy, it’s amazing and I can’t complain. I just feel like I’m spinning a lot of plates at the minute.

New Boobs!

I had a consultation with my surgeon about my breast reduction the other week and the surgery has actually been brought forward earlier than planned.

As I’m writing this, I’m getting it done tomorrow. So it will be all done by the time you’re reading this. I feel really nervous, but that’s normal.

I’ll be OK and it’s for the greater good. I can’t wait to have smaller boobs. I’ll do a week of complete rest and then I’m all good to go!

Keeping it private

Gigi Hadid has revealed she doesn’t want to show her daughter Khai’s face until she’s old enough to decide for herself – and I think that’s completely fair enough.

Each to their own. But for me, I just couldn’t wait to show my kids. Everyone has different preferences and different experiences. I personally just love showing my kids off because I’m super proud of them.

I’d put them on a billboard for people to admire all day long!
