Linda Robson has explained why she didn't clap when This Morning beat Loose Women to the Best Daytime accolade at the 2022 National Television Awards last week.
The TV personality, 64, has insisted she has "no issue" with Phillip Schofield, 60, and Holly Willoughby, 41, after she was seen looking displeased at the NTAs.
During the ceremony and when the TV hosts headed up to collect the gong, Linda refrained from applauding them and she and her fellow Loose Women stars looked unimpressed.
However, she has now shot down claims that she has a problem with Holly and Phil winning and said she was simply "disappointed" after losing out.
"There is no issue between me, Holly and Phil. We just showed that we were disappointed that we lost, and we are allowed to be disappointed," Linda told The Sun.
Explaining why she didn't clap, she continued: "It wasn’t that we didn’t clap, we were just going 'oh no, not again, we haven’t won this year'. It wasn’t deliberately not clapping them; we were just sad for us."
It comes as viewers at home were quick to note that while the majority of the Loose Women did clap, albeit seemingly unhappily, Linda did not join them.
"The Loose Women girls faces said it all," one viewer noted, as another tweeted: "The Loose Women were not happy! Fuming!!"
"Anyone else see the loose women nod their heads with the eye roll when holly n Phil won?" asked a third fan.
"Loose Women didn't look pleased," said another.
Elsewhere, This Morning's win received mixed reactions within both Wembley Arena itself as while some audience members applauded, boos could also be heard.
The hit ITV show, whose stars have come under fire recently following allegations of queue-jumping at the Queen’s lying-in-state – which they have vehemently denied, was up against shows including Loose Women and The Repair Shop as it competed in the category.
But as Strictly Come Dancing stars Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin announced that This Morning had taken home the trophy, it seems as though some audience members weren’t impressed as they booed the This Morning team.
