Love Island 's Joe Garratt is convinced Lucie Donlan will defend him over claims he abused her in the villa.
The sandwich salesman, 22, was booted out of the show this week after being partnered with Lucie.
He was hit with sickening abuse from trolls who accused him of torturing Lucie and reducing her to tears.
However, he's now spoken out to deny the abuse claims and he's adamant she will stick up for him.
In a chat with The Sun Online , Joe said: "Lucie is an emotional girl. I think 100% Lucie will be shocked.
"I am confident she will look at it and be like that is not Joe at all. She will look at it and say that is not the Joe I met, that is not the Joe I know.
"I think she will be upset about what has come out because it is not me.”
He added that he "didn’t manipulate or abuse her" and is "gutted" that he's been portrayed in that way.
The sandwich seller, 22, jetted out of Majorca yesterday and has now been reunited with his family and friends.
This evening he took to Instagram to share a picture of himself catching up with his brother Josh and best mate Levi.
He also shared a picture with the bodygaurd who escorted him home from Majorca, thanking the security officer for taking such good care of him.
Joe was torn away from Lucie and dumped from the show this week.
She was left distraught after Joe's exit and in tonight's show she was seen being comforted by the other Islanders as she adjusted to life without him.
Lucie insisted that she's unlikely to have her head turned by another boy during her time in the villa – giving hope that "Jucie" may be revived on the outside.
