Baroness Brady, 52, has claimed that Ben Affleck still doesn’t know “how to take responsibility” after he made out that his previous comments about his ex-wife had been “taken out of context”. The Apprentice star delved into Ben’s behaviour, arguing that the star still blamed Jennifer Garner for his drinking problem.

Karren began by outlining the “bad week” Ben, 49, was having, describing how he “seemed to blame his ex-wife Jennifer Garner for his past alcoholism”.

Indeed, during an interview with radio host Howard Stern, Ben has since claimed that his comments on how his alcoholism was a side-effect of feeling “trapped” in their decade-long marriage had been twisted.

The star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! a few nights ago to clear things up.

He told Jimmy: “I had gone on [the show], said how much we respected each other, cared about each other, cared about our kids, put them first.”

“It said that I had blamed my ex-wife for my alcoholism, that I was trapped in this marriage, just made me out to be the worst, most insensitive, stupid, awful guy.

“It hurts my feelings,” he added.

Nevertheless, in her column for the Sun, Karren pointed out that Ben still said he “probably still would have been drinking” if he hadn’t separated from Jennifer, 49, in 2015.

Branding Ben a “no action hero”, Karren wrote: “This is one of the worst cases of back-tracking I have come across in a while.

“The bottom line is he blamed his ex-wife for making him feel trapped and drunk a bottle of whisky a day because of it.

“For a start, his kids really didn’t need to know that,” she continued.

“But also, even after all that therapy and rehab, he clearly still can’t take responsibility for his own actions.

“It was his hand pouring whisky down his throat – not anyone else’s.”

Ben and Jennifer tied the knot in 2005 and finalised their divorce in 2018.

The two actors share three children: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, nine.

Ben is now dating his former ex Jennifer Lopez, who he previously split from almost 20 years ago.

The world-famous pop star dated Ben for 18 months before they suddenly split in 2004, but now, the couple are back together.

Meanwhile, many will recognise West Ham United vice-chairman Karren from The Apprentice, where she advised Baron Sugar opposite Claude Littner for a number of years.

Some football fans will also remember her as former Managing Director of Birmingham City F.C.

Aside from her time working in football and showbiz, the Baroness also sits in the House of Lords and has previously acted as Small Business Ambassador to the UK Government.

A new series of The Apprentice will broadcast on BBC One in early 2022 with former winner Tim Campbell standing in for Claude Littner, who cannot take part for medical reasons.
