The new Lifetime movie Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace, depicts the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during one of the most controversial years of their lives as they endured difficulties within the Royal Family.

The new film, which is set to be released in the autumn, will chronicle Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s year as senior royals, the birth of baby Archie, and their subsequent decision to step down.

In clips from the explosive new trailer, that shows a dramatisation of the couple’s highly-publicised move to America, fans will also be able to see the story all the way through to their interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Harry and Meghan’s romance and life has already been made into two previous TV movies.

Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance was released in 2018 ahead of the Royal Wedding, and depicted the duo’s first date, their romantic trip to Botswana, and their engagement.

A year later, the channel released Becoming Royal, which attempted to showcase the couple’s life within the palace.

All three imaginings have been played by different actors, with the latest taken on by Jordan Dean as Prince Harry, and Sydney Morton as Meghan.

In one of the clips from the film, Harry woke up from a nightmare, as he continually worried about the wellbeing of his wife and future of his family.

"I see you literally being hounded to death, and I'm powerless to stop it,” he told Meghan in heart-wrenching scenes.

Another snapshot showed Meghan declaring: "I am the person who is strong and gets things right."

And in a powerful final moment on the trailer, Harry then begged his wife: “I can’t lose you.”

It’s currently unclear whether the new film will follow Harry and Meghan’s life in Los Angeles following the birth of baby Lilibet.

But fans can strap in for a rollercoaster ride as they dig into a tale of epic proportions.

Prince Harry is set to come back to the UK next month for the unveiling of a statue in honour of his late mother Princess Diana at Kensington Palace.

It has been reported that while Harry and his brother Prince William are set to be portraying a united front, they will be giving separate speeches.
