The Queen visited the Coronation Street set at Media City UK, Manchester, on Thursday.

The 95-year-old monarch met with members of the ITV soap's cast outside the iconic Rovers Return Inn.

The Queen spoke to Coronation Street veterans William Roache, Barbara Knox, Sue Nicholls and Helen Worth as she explored the Weatherfield cobbles.

It is believed that the monarch also spoke to cast members, who recently celebrated the soap's 60th anniversary, about how the Covid pandemic impacted filming.
