Rachel Stevens has hit back at ex-fiancé Jeremy Edwards' claims that she was unfaithful during their relationship.

The S Club 7 Star, 45, and Hollyoaks actor Jeremy, 52, became engaged in 2002 before splitting in 2003. Rachel later married now ex-husband Alex Bourne in 2009.

Rachel announced her split from Alex last year, and has since been linked to Dancing On Ice star Brendyn Hatfield, with whom she skated with while appearing on the show in 2022.

Now Jeremy says that recent events have left him wondering if the singer had a fling behind his back during their time together in the noughties.

The former Holby City star told The Sun: "Since this story came up, it’s brought all this up again. And I’ve thought about it more, I’ve thought about our relationship, and I think she did have a fling.

“I would never have had her doing the bedroom bolero a Dancing On Ice pro. I would never in a million years have thought she would do something like this.

"But because of the story that has come out, it just makes me question our relationship."

However, Rachel's rep has since told The Mirror: "This is a completely false story, the below interview is absolute lies, and this did absolutely not happen."

Rachel and Jeremy split in 2003, and at the time it was reported that this was due to his drinking, however, he now claims that it was because he didn't trust her.

OK! have contacted reps for Rachel Stevens.

Since splitting from her husband, Rachel and Brendyn, who is also separated from his wife, have reportedly been getting closer to one another.

A source close told The Sun: “Rachel had a really great friendship and partnership with Brendyn and it keeps developing. They’re really smitten and looking forward to the future."

They added: “She wasn’t expecting to find love again at this stage in her life but she’s feeling positive about what’s to come and hopeful about a new start. She is taking each day as it comes and focusing on upcoming career projects.”

Rachel announced her split from Alex, just one month before they would have celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary.

Posting a statement on Instagram, she wrote: “I just wanted to share with you all that after time and consideration the difficult decision has been made for Alex and I to separate.

“While we are no longer partners in marriage, we will remain partners in parenthood to our beautiful girls and continue with love and respect for each other.

“I feel so incredibly grateful for the life we built together and will now continue to be focused on moving forward united as a family.”
