Stella Tennant has sadly passed away.
The British model died at the age of 50, her family said in a statement on Wednesday (December 23), via the BBC.
“It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of Stella Tennant on 22nd December 2020. Stella was a wonderful woman and an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed,” the statement reads.
“Her family ask for their privacy to be respected. Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.”
She first rose to fame in the early ’90s in photo shoots for acclaimed fashion magazines, and has since appeared in campaigns for the likes of major fashion houses and designers including Burberry, Chanel and Jean Paul Gautier.
Stella also appeared in the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games alongside fellow British models, including Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
Our thoughts are with Stella Tennant‘s loved ones at this difficult time.
