Strictly Come Dancing celeb Amanda Abbington has hit out at claims that she nearly quit the BBC show after alleged rows with her professional dancing partner Giovanni Pernice.

It had been reported that Amanda, who will be taking to the dance floor for the first time on Saturday, 23 September, threatened to quit before the first live show ofthe new series. Taking to Instagram to put the claims to bed, Amanda insisted things were “all good” between the pair and that she was “very excited and very, very nervous, but it’s all fun”.

Addressing the claims, Amanda went on to say: “ignoring the bulls***, because clearly people are t****.

“Just stop it, stop it, grow up. No one gives a s**t. Shut up, it’s b*****ks, so f*** off. You know who I’m talking to as well. Come on, jog on, it’s nonsense and you know it’s nonsense. It’s all good.”

Amanda’s pro dance partner Giovanni also appeared to shut down the rumours in an Instagram post where he said: "I usually don't say those things early (as probably everybody knows) but I am extremely proud of you and I can't wait for people to watch what we have created."

Amanda’s rant followed afterThe Sunclaimed that she was not happy with Giovanni's "militant" attitude during training sessions.

A source told the outlet that the pro dancer takes his job "very seriously," and has an "incredibly brusque" manner, something Amanda allegedly found "difficult to handle."

Furthermore, they claimed Amanda was "shaken" by the experience and found it "more stressful than she ever imagined." They also added she had "liaised with her team about quitting."

Ahead of tonight’s highly anticipated live show, Amanda revealed to her followers that she was “c**pping herself out of fear and anxiety” as she arrived at the studio at 6am ready for dress rehearsals.

The Sherlock actress said: “So it’s the first live show. I’ve been up since 6am. I had one of those anxiety dreams where you can’t remember what you’re doing, you forget your lines or you forget your dance. That’s what I did today. I won’t because it’s been drilled [into me]. Those anxiety dreams suck, don’t they?”

Amanda will be supported at tonight’s show by her partner Jonathan Goodwin and 17-year-old son Joe, however she said her daughter Grace has opted to go to a party instead.
