This Is Why 90 Day Fiancé’s Ariela Agreed To Do Reality TV

Season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way hasn’t been easy for Ariela and Biniyam, but the fan-favorite couple finished up happily engaged and with their sights firmly set on the future. After everything they’ve been through, it seems that these two are finally settled in Ethiopia. They also made peace with their newfound fame, after Ariela took to Instagram to thank producers of the TLC show for all their support. According to Screen Rant, her Instagram Stories detailed how crew members “were there when Avi was born and you hugged me many a time when I was crying,” among other things.

Ariela has been open about her struggles with being on television in general, admitting in one of her personalized messages to the crew, “I am still contemplating this reality TV journey. It is a trip seeing the TV version of myself.” The self-described reluctant celebrity initially took the job not to further her own status, but for love.

Reluctant reality star Ariela did what she had to do for love

During a recent Q&A session with fans on her Instagram, Ariela confirmed that fiancé and baby daddy Biniyam was the main reason she initially signed on to 90 Day Fiancé. Fans of spinoff show The Other Way will know that the New Jersey native is incredibly private and not entirely comfortable with sharing her life with the TLC cameras. When a fan questioned why she’d agreed to go on TV in the first place, Ariela admitted it was all for her beloved.

The mother of one responded to a Craigslist ad looking for “people who had fallen in love with foreigners” and applied with the intention of securing a Visa for Biniyam (via Screen Rant). However, after learning 90 Day Fiancé wouldn’t be providing one, Ariela proceeded with a view to helping Biniyam’s career. She admitted, “Even though I was very camera shy, I agreed to do the show for Bini. I wanted him to get exposure for his talents!”

However, the travel nut also acknowledged it was a great way to be paid to see the world, so really everybody won.
