A PET owner was left stunned when her adorable fluffy pooch returned from the groomers resembling Shaun the Sheep.

The woman could hardly believe her eyes when she picked up her furry friend looking more like a farm animal than a puppy.

She shared a video on social media of her beloved dog before and after its disastrous haircut to document the difference.

In the first clip, the animal is seen sporting a fluffy coat of curly grey fur before it headed off for a trim.

But unbeknown to the pooch and its owner, it would undergo a dramatic – and downright bizarre – pampering session.

The woman was left outraged when she picked up her dog from the groomer to realise her pet looked like it had more baa than bark.

It seemed that the canine coiffeur had used their clippers to transform the pup into Shaun the Sheep.

The dog was left with bare legs while still flaunting a bulk of fur on its tiny body, meaning it would easily blend in with a flock.

The groomer did take some weight from the thick coat of hair around its face – but seemingly forgot to finish the rest.

Even the pet itself looked displeased and somewhat terrified of its own appearance after the style mishap.

The owner shared further footage of her pup getting used to its new look while debuting it on a stroll through the city.

The small pooch hilariously sprinted towards the camera in one clip, which only emphasised its similarity to a sheep.

Social media users were left in stitches at the canine's bad hair day and flooded the comment section.

One wrote: "He's so cute but I'm sorry I can't stop laughing. Glass half full though – he can run faster!"

Another joked: "He must have felt so embarrassed… sack the baaaah baaaah."

And a third added: "At least give him a jacket to protect his fashion reputation!"
