SINGLETONS who live at home with their parents and drink heavily have been revealed to be the most eligible online daters.
According to a new study by dating site Badoo, users who still live with mum and dad – as well as those who enjoy a tipple are the most right-swiped.
Analysing 5,000 users, the dating site also found that honesty is the best policy, with those who reveal niche information about themselves more popular than those who do not.
Meanwhile, those who boast polished profile shots with sculpted abs are more likely to miss out on bagging a date.
Which makes sense – especially since Badoo's relationship psychologist, Clare Stott, thinks singletons are not interested in dating someone who seems "perfect"
"Showcasing what makes you unique pays off in online dating," she explained.
“Quite often, the personal things that we leave off our profiles are the exact things that are most endearing and memorable about us.
“Research shows that being honest – and polarising – in dating is beneficial because the people who then like you will REALLY like you, which is better than having someone who is only half-interested in a ‘softened’ version of you."
Female users who claimed to have or want children someday were the most right-swiped, whereas male users who claimed to not want children were top of the list.
Heavy drinkers were also popular, while living with mum and dad is no longer a turn off, as those living under the same roof as their parents topped the charts for the most right-swiped.
