A BRIT desperate to get home to his critically ill mum has been banged up in prison in Oman after swearing at an airport.
Les Bragg, 41, faces up to three years in jail, a pal says.
He was flying back from the Philippines when he was suddenly arrested at Muscat Airport during a stopover last month.
His friend Laura Weston said she’d had very little information but she understands that Les swore when he heard his connecting flight to Heathrow had been delayed.
It is also possible cops smelt alcohol on his breath after he had a drink on the plane to Oman.
It is an offence to drink or be drunk in public in the Arab country.
Les, from Portsmouth, is now in Arzat jail in Salalah where officials have apparently said he must pay around £22,000 to be released.
Dental nurse Laura, 34, who has launched a GoFundMe page to try and raise the cash, said: “I’m worried sick. We don’t know what’s happening — it’s horrible.

Les, who suffered a brain injury in a motorbike crash 15 years ago, has reportedly not eaten for days.
