Alice Beer is a TV presenter and journalist, well-known for appearing on BBC One investigative journalism programme Watchdog. She regularly appears on ITV’s This Morning as an expert on various consumer products, and more.
Today, Alice joined Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the popular daytime show via video call.
She advised the hosts and the viewers on which Easter eggs to buy this year, as well as which supermarkets to buy them from.
The consumer expert shared information she had learned from consumer expert testing company Which?.
The organisation had found which supermarkets sell Easter eggs for the cheapest prices.
“Can I just advise you to be careful about where you buy your eggs from,” Alice warned.
She went on to share the information, which showed that some supermarkets are selling the same Easter eggs for much cheaper than others.
Alice said: “This is from consumer group Which?, who took a basket of eggs – five eggs.
“When they bought them at Waitrose, they cost £25.06.

“Same eggs in Tesco – £19.50,” Alice continued.
“Same eggs in Asda – £16.45.”
Alice showed viewers the chocolate eggs, all with a sticker with the above prices stuck onto them.
Lastly, she picked up a golden chocolate rabbit with the figure ‘£8.61’ on it.
“What’s that Mr Bunny you say?” Alice joked.
She explained: “£8.61 difference on the same five eggs.
“So please be a little bit careful about where you buy your eggs from.”
The consumer website, Which?, had bought a Galaxy egg, a Nestlé egg, and three Cadbury eggs.
Specifically, they were the Galaxy All About Indulgence Easter Egg, the Maltesers Medium Easter Egg, the Cadbury Creme Egg Easter Egg, the Cadbury Crunchie Giant Easter Egg, and the Cadbury Dairy Milk With Oreo Easter Egg.
On its website, Which? said that its team of experts also went to Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, and Ocado to buy the five eggs.
The total price of the eggs came to £17.58 in Morrisons, £23 in Sainsbury’s, and £21.64 from Ocado.
Aldi and Lidl weren’t included in the research as they sell a smaller range of branded items, according to Which?.
