After a difficult year, and with England’s second lockdown looming, many of us are in need of a bit of festive cheer.

So it is of little surprise people are already putting up their Christmas trees and decorations, even though the big day is still more than seven weeks away.  

Festive early birds from the UK and beyond have pulled their tinsel out of storage, dusted off their baubles and turned their homes into winter wonderlands. 

Hundreds of people have taken to social media to share their contributions to the festive spirit in their home, with one admitting it is bringing them joy at this difficult time, as the UK goes into a second lockdown.
