Andy Webb regularly appears on Channel 5’s Shop Smart: Save Money to give customers the best deals on the market.
And this week proved no different with Andy enlightening viewers on how to save hundreds of pounds on trips to theatre shows.
When sharing tips with presenter Alexis Conran on how to secure cheaper tickets, the bargain hunting guru said: “I’ve got one last trick.”
A shocked Alexis replied: “How low can you go, Andy?”
“Lots of theatres do this and lots of productions, not all of them but quite a few do,” Andy added.
“They have something called day seats, these are held back specifically, even for some of the most popular shows.”
Andy leads on to explain the tickets are available through the box office at the actual theatre, but only a limited amount are available.
He even highlighted the circumstances you should take into consideration when planning to visit.
“So if you get there, and you might have to get there early, it depends whether there are school holidays and it depends if it is raining on just how early you might need to go,” he added.
“But if you do get there early, it’s possible to get tickets for School of Rock in the stalls for just £20 each.
“To maximise your chances of getting these tickets it’s not just about getting there early, I think it is good to go on a day that has a matinee and an evening performance because you’ve got more shows and a better chance of getting tickets to at least one of them.”
Tickets for the show can currently cost you anything from £25 to £150.
It comes after the guru informed viewers on how to get an Amazon Echo Dot smart speaker for just 99p.
