DEAR DEIDRE: I’M worried my kids are going to grow up thinking everyone’s daddy has a “bed day” – just like I do after a bender the night before.

I’m 32 and happily married. My wife is great. She’s 34 and we have two little boys.

I don’t drink much in the week, perhaps a pint or two at weekends and that’s it.

But every few months I go out with friends and get off my face on booze.

After last weekend I’d really like to put a stop to this. I ended up coming round on my mate’s bathroom floor.

Friends said I was semi-conscious.

My mum used to be worried about me as a teenager as I’d get drunk to mask my depression.

I don’t want this to be a habit.
