Antigoni Buxton is set to enter the Love Island villa, with the singer being unveiled as the latest bombshell contestant on the hit ITV2 dating show.

During Tuesday (21 June) night's episode, Antigoni, 26, was revealed as the newest singleton to be heading into the Majorcan villa, and her entrance looks set to shake things up.

The 26 year old is a singer and songwriter from London, and is the daughter of celebrity TV chef Tonia Buxton, 54.

Tonia took to Instagram to wish her daughter well ahead of her appearance on Love Island, and shared a sweet post praising her.

Posting a collection of snaps, the proud mother wrote on her social media account: "I can not believe that my @antigoni is in the Love Island Villa, she mentioned she would be sunbathing this week I didn’t think she meant in Mallorca!

"We are all so excited for you and know you will be amazing! You have always been an island girl, so I know you will fit right in!

"Hoping you all love and support my girl, I know she will make us proud! Tune in to my stories every night where I will be commentating the show, or trying to! #LoveIsland."

Tonia is mum to daughters Antigoni and Sophia, as well as sons Zeno and Zephyros, who she shares with husband Paul Buxton.

Sophia is a model who is signed to Nevs Model Agency, and has taken over her sister's social media accounts as she gets set to head into the villa.

Antigoni is a successful singer and songwriter who was previously signed to Island Records – the same label that first signed Amy Winehouse.

However, the 26 year old has since launched her own independent label Sirena Records. Her latest single, Hit List, was released last month, and Antigoni's music has been described as "hip hop with UK beats and Greek/Middle Eastern elements".

Her single Red Flag was released in April, and the singer hosted a star-studded bash to celebrate its release, with many fellow celebrities joining her, including Anthony Joshua.

Antigoni appears to already have a number of celebrity connections, and she also previously dated former Love Island star Jack Fowler, who appeared on the show in 2018.

Prior to this, she was in a nine-year relationship with her childhood sweetheart, but the couple split so that she could focus on her music career.

Speaking about her reasons for going into the villa, Antigoni said: "I’ve been single for almost a year and a half and for the whole of the last year my goal has been to have as many different experiences as possible. I really just want to say ‘yes’ to things. Why not? It’ll be fun. I’m a Cypriot girl and I love being in the sun. I’ve got nothing to lose!"

The 26 year old also opened up about what she's like as a girlfriend, adding: "When I’m into somebody, I’m very much all about them. My culture is a very open, generous culture and I like to think I carry that trait as a girlfriend. I really put 100% into somebody when I like them. I would also like that back!"

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
