Love Island might be known for its romance and drama, but the hit ITV2 show isn’t complete without its challenges, which have turned out to be equally sweet but savage.

And one challenge that goes down a treat with viewers every year is the baby challenge, whichsees the Islanders take care of a baby doll for a day to find out how they’d cope as parents in the real world.

As the legacy of the baby challenge continues to leave its mark on this year’s villa, the team at Confused.com have been thinking about what names have proved popular in the Love Island villa. So, here’s the names you are most likely to share with an Islander…

Popular boys’ names

Coming at the top of the list of popular boys’ names, and therefore the name most likely to see you enter the Love Island villa, is Jack.

With 2,900 babies being given the name in 2020 alone, throughout the history of Love Island, a number of contestants with the moniker have entered the villa includingJack Fincham andJack Fowler. Most recently, Jack Keating entered during Casa Amor.

In second place for popular boys’ names is Charlie. In 2020, 2,810 babies in the UK called Charlie were born and it’s proved very popular in the villa, too.

While viewers of this year’s show may be familiar with Charlie Radnedge,who has been providing fans with behind the scenes information from the show, he’s not the only Charlie to step foot on the show. In fact, series four alone welcomed three Charlies.

Coming in third place is Finley, with 2,613 babies with the name being born in 2020. Tommy comes in at fourth, with a slightly lower 2,013 babies being given the name in 2020.

Meanwhile Teddy, Max and Adam come in fifth, sixth and seventh place. Completing the top ten most popular names are Luca, Toby and Liam.

Popular girls’ names

Topping the list of the name you’re most likely to share with a female Love Islander is Olivia. In 2020, 3,640 babies in the UK were given the name.

Fans of the show may know that various contestants called Olivia have entered the Love Island hall of fame includingOlivia Bowen andOlivia Attwood.

In second place is Millie, with 1,319 babies being given the name in 2020.Millie Court famously won last year’s show alongside her ex beau Liam Reardon.

Third sees Chloe being given bronze, with 980 babies born with the name in 2020. Hannah is fourth and Amber is fifth.

Lower down the list are Laura, Paige and Remi. Meanwhile Indie and Megan round off the top ten.
