Netflix has struck again, with a new trailer that will make the hairs on your arms stand up and send a chill down your spine.
Yes, the popular streaming service has released the trailer for much-anticipated thriller The Stranger and it looks utterly terrifying.
The star-studded series will star Jennifer Saunders and Richard Armitage and looks as though it’s going to be a chilling watch with the occasional hands over eyes moment.
The Netflix newbie will be based on Harlan Coben’s book of the same name and will follow the story of Adam Price as he discovers a life-changing secret about his wife, Corinne.
As a result, Adam begins to question everything he thought he knew about his wife whilst simultaneously trying to protect the two children he shares with her.

It all begins when Adam is approached by a woman in a bar who refers to herself as the ‘stranger.’ She greets Adam wearing a baseball cap and spills secrets about Adam’s wife, even going as far as to say that she faked her pregnancy.
When Adam begins to question his wife and delve into her past a conspiracy begins to come to light that could tear his family apart.
The trailer opens with clips of the Price family on car trips and fooling around at home, before cutting to a fateful scene in the bar.

"You didn't have to stay with her you know," begins the stranger as she approaches Adam in the bar. "Corinne. You didn't have to stay with her when she told you she was pregnant."
"I'm sorry. Do I know you?," Adam replies.
"Who are you and why are you saying this?", Adam asks the stranger, to which she replies: "Think of me as a stranger. A stranger that knows."
After the encounter, Adam begins to look for answers causing him to question his wife Corrine about her ‘secret’.

The main character of the series is played by Hannah John-Kamen described by Netflix as “a mysterious stranger who exposes people’s secrets and dropping bombshells that will shatter lives.”
TV favourite Jennifer Saunders will also star in the show, playing the character of Heidi.
Jennifer will play “an outgoing character who is seeking adventure after her daughter leaves for university,” as descried by Netflix.
The Stranger will land on Netflix on Thursday 30 January.
