  • ARSENAL are set to lose academy star Xavier Amaechi on a permanent transfer to Germany amid interest from Bayern Munich.

English star Jadon Sancho, as well as Gunners duo Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith-Rowe have all enjoyed first-team football in the Bundesliga.

Sky Sports News claim an unnamed German side are set to make Amaechi the latest English star to join the league.

Bayern have previously registered interest in the pacy 18-year-old winger.

Amaechi was left out of Arsenal’s U-23 clash against Barnet following the transfer speculation.

It comes after Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi is braced to pen a new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Bayern had tabled four bids for the 18-year-old, but have now seemingly turned their attention to Amaechi.

Ex-Manchester City forward Sancho left for Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and last year made a breakthrough into the first-team.

The 19-year-old 34 appearances last season, netting 13 goals and attracting attention from United – who were told to pay £70million for the right winger.

  • FORMER Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen is set to join Andres Iniesta at Vissel Kobe.

According to reports in Belgium, he rejected a proposal to join Al-Arabi.

Ex-Gunners star and World Cup winner Lukas Podolski also plays for the J-League side.

  • ARSENAL bad-boy captain Laurent Koscielny is still being forced to train with the youth team – despite the senior stars returning from their pre-season tour.

The club captain, 33, refused to join his team-mates for their warm-up games in the USA as he looked to force a move away from the Emirates.

But now the first team are back at London Colney, boss Unai Emery has admitted he only wants stars who want to play for him – leaving Koscielny out of training, say The Mirror.

Emery revealed: “When he decided not to stay with us here in the tour, the solution now is only for the club and him because he decided to be out of the team in pre-season.

“Now it is one issue only for the club and for him. My idea is continuing with the players we are working with and the players that want to be here.”

The whole saga surrounding Koscielny has taken an ugly turn in recent days – with the captain taking legal action against the club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have opened disciplinary proceedings and are almost certain to fine the Frenchman for his tour snub.

Koscielny has one year left on his £100,000-a-week contract and had hoped for an extension.

But Arsenal were only willing to keep him on the books for another year – even then, it would have been based purely on appearances.

Now, Ligue 1 clubs have ramped up their interest in Koscielny, with both Bordeaux and Rennes thought to have agreed terms on a three-year deal.

It's now up to Arsenal and the clubs to negotiate a fee – should the defender's contract not be terminated.

  • ARSENAL will let Emile Smith Rowe go out on loan this season – with Wolfsburg and RB Leipzig battling it out for his services.

Smith Rowe, 18, is regarded as the brightest young talent coming through the academy at the Emirates.

And the Gunners belief a year playing regular first-team football will be vital in helping him develop to be ready for the Gunners first team in 12 months.

The Independent say no final destination for the teenager has yet been decided – but there is growing interest from the Bundesliga in taking him on.

Only last week, boss Unai Emery said he was looking to blood more young players into his side having impressed during pre-season.

But it appears they are looking for a different path for rising young star Smith Rowe.

The teenager spent the second half of last season on loan at RB Leipzig, though a groin injury prevented him from playing any more than 28 minutes for the club.

But he made a huge impression there, and Leipzig are keen to take him back on a longer-term deal once he gets his fitness back.

Smith Rowe has been out in America with the Arsenal squad going through pre-season, although he is only now stepping up his training after getting the all-clear from the club's medical staff the groin issue is behind him.

He is still thought to be around four weeks away from being ready for match action – but that hasn't put off a series of sides showing interest.

According to the report, it is claimed Wolfsburg have now come in with interest of their own in taking the South London-born attacking midfielder for a year.

Both German clubs offer the prospect of regular opportunities of first team action, something Arsenal are keen to ensure from letting one of their best talents out on loan.

There has also been interest from a number of sides in England – both in the lower end of the Premier League and the Championship.

Crucial to any decision Arsenal make will be to make sure Smith Rowe is able to develop well, and a move elsewhere in the UK may not make sense for them in that regard.

Emery has already blooded the youngster in his first team, handing him six appearances in the Europa League and Carabao Cup last season – where we scored three goals.
