Michael Owen has increased fears that Harry Kane won't be fit for the European Championships in the summer.
Speaking on BBC 5Live, he said: “I’m nervous about saying what he’s got and comparing my injury to his.
“I’ve read that he ruptured his hamstring at the tendon. That’s exactly what I did. If it’s the case that he did what I did, there is no chance he’ll be back for April.
“IF he has the same injury as me… I’ve read reports he’ll be back for April… he’d have to be a miracle man if that’s the case.
“I remember thinking, 'If I push on it’s going to pop again'. It’s a dangerous one to push. I do fear for him, I must admit.”
OVER TO BRU
Jose Mourinho reckons Gedson Fernandes is a “special loan” after joining for 18 months.
Benfica star Fernandes, 21, has signed for an extended period and could make the move permanent in the summer of 2021.
Mourinho, preparing for tomorrow’s trip to Watford, said: “We need his contribution. He is young but has experience of playing for a big club and can play in different positions in midfield – even wide on the right.
“So we have got him as he can play in various positions and he is what I call a special loan as it is not a three month loan but for one and a half years so we have time. Who knows. . . he may stay here for many years.
“The fact he speaks English perfectly helps and the fact his family is already living here is a coincidence. He will enjoy the happiness of the family and it looks as though he can walk to the stadium as they live so close.”
AL BE BACK
Toby Alderweireld is ready and raring to go ahead of tomorrow's clash against Watford.

For someone who does not even have his own locker at Tottenham, Japhet Tanganga has already shown he has a lot in it.
The defender followed up his outstanding Premier League debut in the defeat to Liverpool on Saturday with another impressive display in Tuesday’s FA Cup win over Middlesbrough.
Tanganga, 20, is already being tipped as a future England international.
Not bad for a player so new to first-team football it is believed he does not even have his own locker in the Spurs dressing room yet.
