ARSENAL fans have managed to take some sort of comfort from Liverpool's thrashing of Barcelona last night.
The Gunners have often been on the receiving end of a thumping at Anfield, having conceded 14 goals in their last four trips to Merseyside.
The most recent came in December when Unai Emery's side crashed to an embarrassing 5-1 defeat.
A year before they left Anfield on the back of a 4-0 loss.
And in 2008, Arsenal were on the brink of qualifying for the Champions League semi-finals when Emmanuel Adebayor fired the visitors ahead with six minutes to play.
The Gunners ended up conceding twice and lost 4-2 to crash out of the competition.
On Reddit, one supporter commented: “Losing 5-1 to Liverpool in Anfield doesn't seem as embarrassing as it did anymore.”

ARSENAL are planning on a major summer overhaul of their squad – with Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan among at least five senior stars they want out of the club.
Unai Emery wants to make major changes to his group after deciding the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger is not good enough for what he needs to deliver success.
The failure to clinch a top four finish in the Premier League this season has convinced him several current first team regulars at Arsenal are not up to the job.
And highly-paid stars Ozil and Mkhitaryan appear to be two of those he is looking to offload over the close season.
Ozil has flattered to deceive in recent months with moments of brilliance too often being thrown into the mix with spells where he goes missing in games.
Though the 30-year-old has taken up the challenge from Emery of being more committed and putting in a shift on the pitch, he has still done little to justify his £350,000-a-week wages.

ARSENAL are reportedly in the hunt to lure Brazilian forward Antony away from Sao Paolo in the summer.
The Gunners are understood to be desperate to sign a winger at the end of the season as Unai Emery looks to add pace and width to his side.
According to Yahoo, the North London outfit are one of a number of clubs looking to nab Antony, with the player available for £21million.
Ajax, Monaco, PSV and Lyon are all believed to be vying for the 19-year-old, along with Arsenal.
They claim that Antony's agent Junior Pedroso has flown to Europe to hold a series of meeting with potential suitors.
Arsenal have reportedly sent scouts to watch the Brazilian starlet in action at the Paulista Championship.
Antony has featured nine times for Sao Paolo's first team since making his debut last season, though he is still yet to net his first professional goal

ARSENAL flop Denis Suarez has been handed a commemorative shirt marking Barcelona's La Liga triumph – despite playing just TWICE.
Barca's stars were handed a “champions” jersey following their incredible season where they stormed to the Spanish top-flight title.
The 25-year-old Spaniard – who spent the second half of the season mostly on the bench at Arsenal – played just twice in La Liga this season.
He featured in the 4-0 win away to rivals Espanyol, as well as the 5-0 drubbing of Levante – for a total of 17 minutes of action.
And he played against PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham in the Champions League.
He had most impact in the Copa del Rey – in which he scored his only two goals of the season against minnows Leonesa.
