  • FOFANA HAVING MEDICAL

Leicester target Wesley Fofana is having his medical today after his club Saint-Etienne agreeing a whopping £30million fee with the Premier League side.

The 19-year-old defender has to undergo his medical in Germany after coronavirus rules stopped him travelling to England.

If he passes that, only his personal terms will be left to agree before he can make a move to the King Power stadium.

  • NO FEE AGREED FOR SEAD

Arsenal are yet to agree a price for Sead Kolasinac's move to Bayer Leverkusen, reports say.

The Gunners were believed to want a price in the region of £9million.

The sale could have a huge knock-on effect to other business at the club, with it believed the money recouped from the left-back's exit being crucial to claiming Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey.

So Mikel Arteta will want to rush the deal over the line as the window gets closer to closing.

  • LEMAR CAN LEAVE

Atletico Madrid are willing to let Thomas Lemar leave, new reports say, in what could set clubs across Europe on high alert.

RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich are both believed to be interested – while Premier League clubs have also been linked to Lemar in the past.

  • DONE DEAL

Sheffield Wednesday have announced they've signed Callum Paterson from Cardiff for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old Scotland international leaves Wales after three years when he made the unusual transition from a right-back to a striker.

Sheff Wednesday will be hoping he can help fire them up the league after a 12 point deduction at the beginning of the season left them rooted to the foot of the Championship table.

  • ROWE BACK

Emile Smith Rowe will be staying at Arsenal and not leaving on loan, reports say.

The talented youngster had been tipped with a move away from the Emirates to get regular game time but that now appears unlikely.

This is despite the fact the club look set to bring in new midfielders.

  • CUISANCE DEAL DONE

BREAKING – Leeds have signed Michael Cuisance on a permanent deal until June 2025.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports the Yorkshire club's pursuit has ended successfully and the French midfielder is now confirmed as Leeds' newest man,

That makes it eight signings for the newly-promoted Prem club.

  • MOVEMENT ON DEMBELE

BREAKING: Man United are now in active discussions with Barcelona over Ousmane Dembele, according to reports.

Sky Sports say they have made contact and are pursuing a deal, preferably a loan move.

This follows weeks of speculation as United try to bolster their attacking options with only days left in the window.

They have also been linked with – and continue to be linked with – Jadon Sancho, Luka Jovic and Edison Cavani.

  • MORE ON BARKLEY

There is no option to buy at the end of Barkley's surprising loan move to Villa, so Chelsea will be obliged to keep him.

The Athletic report that it was the offer of regular game time that convinced Barkley to move, but he will face stiff competition in midfield with Jack Grealish and John McGinn impressing.

Villa are reportedly not done with Barkley, and will look to sign another attacker before the window shuts.

  • CUISANCE PATIENCE

Leeds are edging closer to the singing of Bayern Munich's Michael Cuisance and he could have his medical today, reports say.

The France U20 international would be Leeds' eight summer signing as they look to bolster their team for their first top-flight season in 16 years.

Cuisance was left out of Bayern's squad for their shock 4-1 loss against Hoffenheim and is expected to be at Elland Road within days.

Sky Sports say his medical could be today and, if he passes that, could be on his way soon.

  • BARKLEY TO ASTON VILLA

BREAKING: Aston Villa have taken Ross Barkley on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

The midfielder had much competition in the midfield positions at Stamford Bridge and has now left for Dean Smith's Villa.

Smith said: “Capturing a player of Ross’s quality is a real coup for our club and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team.”

  • AIN NOTHING TO IT

The rumours linking Manchester United with a shock move for Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles are baseless, one journalist has claimed.

Surprising reports over the last day have said the Gunners youngster was being eyed by the Red Devils but a Manchester Evening News reporter has dismissed it.

  • NEVILE NOT HAPPY

Gary Neville has blasted Manchester United's transfer strategy in a testy early morning tweet.

The pundit is not happy at the lack of signings in the “easiest” window in “Premier League history.”

  • JOVIC THE FRONTRUNNER

Luka Jovic is the preferred candidate over Edison Cavani as Manchester United scramble to get an attacking player in before the window closes, reports say.

The 22-year-old Serbian is viewed by the club's hierarchy as the better option as he is younger and cheaper, and they could plump for a loan move for the Real Madrid man.

Jovic is also being tracked by Roma, Inter and AC Milan, according to AS.com, putting pressure on United to make up their mind and act quickly.

The Red Devils have also been linked to Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele and will be desperate to get at least one of these deals over the line.

  • LAYING THE SEAD

Selling Sead Kolasinac will be crucial to funding the Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey transfers, reports say.

Arsenal are keen to drive the left-back's deal through to Bayer Leverkusen quickly to help raise cash for the two players they've been linked to consistently throughout this window.

The Express reports that the £9million exit of Kolasinac – along with the potential sale of Lucas Torreira – will be crucial in helping to get not just one but both of their targets over the line.

But with only days left in the window, it's now a race against time for Mikel Arteta and co.

  • FUL FURY

The Fulham dressing room have not taken kindly to owner Tony Khan's social media apology after their 3-0 loss to Aston Villa, reports say.

Manager Scott Parker has publicly deemed the comments “unhelpful” as Khan said sorry to fans and promised “players in + better efforts from the squad.”

But now it appears the tweets went down awfully with the players as well, with a source telling the Mail they were unhappy at public talk of their replacements being brought in.

The source said: “The players are not happy at all with the post. It undermines the squad and it looks like they don't have the club's backing.”

Khan only has a few days to make good on his promise as Fulham's search for new defenders goes into the final days of the window.

  • GOOD MORNING FOOTY FANS!

Manchester United have made no 'new' or 'formal' bid for Jadon Sancho.

SunSport's NEIL CUSTIS reports the situation remains that the Red Devils are offering £70million, rising to £100m.

But Borussia Dortmund want a larger chunk of the fee to be paid up front.

Sky Sports had reported a bid of £91.3m was rejected.

The 20-year-old did not travel with Dortmund to Munich for their German Super Cup game.

Sancho is suffering with a ‘respiratory infection’ but did NOT test positive for Covid-19.

Arsenal’s pursuit of Lyon’s Houssem Aouar received a boost with the news Lyon have agreed a deal for AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

Former Chelsea youngster Tariq Lamptey is wanted by Bayern Munich.

SPORT1 reports The Seagulls are holding out for £23m for their asset but the German champs are only looking to fork out £14m.

Arsenal and Tottenham are facing a transfer deadline tug-of-war for Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara.

Italian outlet Il Messaggero say Arsenal and Spurs have both 'called' Piraino to enquire about £27million-rated Diawara.

Manchester City have signed Ruben Dias from Benfica in a £64million deal – with the centre-back piling praise on Pep Guardiola.

The Portuguese star, 23, has finally completed his move from Benfica on a six-year contract – with Nicolas Otamendi going the other way.

Spurs face competition from Torino for Bournemouth striker Josh King – who could cost just £10m as his deal expires next summer.

  • NO JOSHING

Spurs face competition from Torino for Bournemouth striker Josh King.

The Norway star, 28, is on Jose Mourinho’s list of targets as back-up for Harry Kane.

King is desperate to quit following Cherries’ relegation.

And they are willing to sell for a cut-price £10million as his deal expires next summer.

Tottenham are keen on adding a new striker to their squad after loaning youngster Troy Parrott to Millwall.

  • RU BEAUTY

Manchester City have signed Ruben Dias from Benfica in a £64million deal – with the centre-back piling praise on Pep Guardiola.

The Portuguese star, 23, has finally completed his move from Benfica on a six-year contract – with Nicolas Otamendi going the other way.

Dias arrived in England on Monday for his medical and, after passing, can now be officially unveiled as City's second centre-back signing of the summer, joining Nathan Ake.

On his move, Dias – who will take the No3 shirt at the Etihad – revealed Guardiola's reputation for improving young talent was a key factor in him joining.

  • OUS COMING AND GOING?

Manchester United have NOT made a bid for Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele.

SunSport's NEIL CUSTIS reports, contrary to other reports, the Red Devils have not made a formal offer for the 23-year-old.

  • SAME OLD PROBLEM

Manchester United have made no 'new' or 'formal' bid for Jadon Sancho.

SunSport's NEIL CUSTIS reports the situation remains that the Red Devils are offering £70million, rising to £100m.

But Borussia Dortmund want a larger chunk of the fee to be paid up front.

Debate around the 20-year-old's future is set to rumble on until the October 5 deadline.

  • TUG OF WARA

Arsenal and Tottenham are facing a transfer deadline tug-of-war for Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara.

The Guinea star's agent Daniele Piraino is said to be 'angry' over Diawara's treatment and in talks with the two London giants – after the 23-year-old was only a sub in Sunday's 2-2 home draw with Juventus.

Diawara was already upset after a mix-up over his age meant he started Roma's opener at Verona without being registered.

Serie A chiefs penalised Roma for their mistake by turning the 0-0 draw into a 3-0 win for Verona.

Now Italian outlet Il Messaggero say Arsenal and Spurs have both “called” Piraino to enquire about £27million-rated Diawara.

  • NO SANCH YOU

Borussia Dortmund have REJECTED Manchester United's bid for Jadon Sancho.

Sky Sports reports the German side have turned down an offer amounting to £91.3million.

The Red Devils are still trying to sign the 20-year-old despite a number of Dortmund representatives saying he will stay for at least another year.

Dortmund value their prized asset at £108m.

  • SANCHO WORRY

Manchester United target Jadon Sancho has NOT flown to Munich with Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old is suffering with a 'respiratory infection' but has not tested positive for Covid-19.

Sancho will not play against Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup.

  • SPILL THE TEY

Former Chelsea youngster Tariq Lamptey is wanted by Bayern Munich.

SPORT1 reports the Champions League winners want to poach rapid right-back Lamptey from Brighton.

The 19-year-old has bagged three assists in three Prem games this season, including one against The Blues.

But The Seagulls are holding out for £23million for their asset but the German champs are only looking to fork out £14m.

  • FAT CHANCE

Manchester United tried to activate Ansu Fati's £154million release clause to sign him but were too late, incredible reports from Spain suggest.

The 17-year-old Barcelona wonderkid caught the eye of the Premier League side, but their gambit failed after Barca officials moved quickly to hike the clause up to £363m in his new contract.

Spanish source RouteOneFootball claim Man Utd went all out for Fati.

They attempted to trigger his £154m clause, which would have obliged Barcelona to accept the offer.

But Old Trafford chiefs apparently did not realise the Catalan club had already upped the price to £363m, ending their hopes of an audacious signing.
