MANCHESTER UNITED are in pole position for Isco as Real Madrid weigh up offers for their £105million-rated Spain midfielder.
Bernabeu chief Zinedine Zidane has told Isco he would not be a regular starter but wants the 27-year-old as back-up.
But that prospect is unlikely to keep Isco happy – and Real know the time is ripe to extract the highest possible fee for him.
Manchester City and PSG have also been monitoring the situation.

FRANCE boss Didier Deschamps says he would be willing to give Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba his opinion on his future – as Real Madrid circle.
French World Cup winner Pogba, 26, has been persistently linked with a summer exit.
And Deschamps claims the main thing is that Pogba works out what is best for him at such a key moment in his career.
Deschamps told a press conference:“I am not here to advise them. I can given them my view, but they have people, advisers. It is their career.
“What's important is that when a player makes a big decision, he believes in it.”

MANCHESTER UNITED are doing everything possible to sign Ajax skipper Matthijs de Ligt, according to Norway legendJan Åge Fjørtoft.

Manchester City and Barcelona have also been linked with De Ligt.

MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal have been handed a major boost after transfer target Thomas Partey refused to rule out a move.
The defensive midfielder, 25, had an impressive season for Atletico Madrid and has a release clause of £43.5million.
Partey, who has 17 Ghana caps, admitted: “I don't know what the future holds.”
He told BBC Sport: “It's hard for me to talk about transfers because the next minute it will be like 'Thomas is trying to leave' but for me playing football is what makes me happy.
“I keep saying I am lucky to be at this level now because I know people who play harder and work harder than me but are nowhere close to being here.
“I don't know what the future holds for me but as long as I play and they are happy with me here then there is no need flirting with others.
“So the only thing that would make me unhappy will be not playing. I think most footballers can understand that not playing is the greatest torture any professional footballer can go through.”

ALEXIS SANCHEZ has infuriated Manchester United fans by revealing he is bringing out a biographical movie.
The 30-year-old Chilean revealed on Instagram the film called “Mi Amigo Alexis” translated to “My Friend Alexis” – will be released on May 30.
Sanchez captioned the post: “Happy to participate in this movie, very nice to enjoy as a family.”
Despite Sanchez’s joy with the movie, United fans are not impressed – telling the £500,000-a-week star to “concentrate” on his football.
One said: “So this is what you've been doing?.. give the club their money back you crook.”
Another said: “Man… really collected years and months of salary to take time off and go shoot a movie.
“@manchesterunited you guys are terribly run and it has become this busll***. Football means a lot to fans, people follow you for a reason and this is the rubbish we have become?
“Movie stars and fashion icons who play football on weekends for fun yeah? You guys must be very mad to think your fans deserve this rubbish. I’m upset.
One commented: “Concentrate on playing well.”
Another commented: “Knew you were acting as a footballer this whole time.”
