WOLFSBURG midfielder Xaver Schlager has revealed he is already dreaming of playing for Arsenal just a month after joining the Bundesliga side.

The 21-year-old joined the German outfit from Red Bull Salszburg for £13million after he helped the Austrian club win the league for the fourth consecutive season.

Speaking to Kicker, he said: “As a boy in Austria, you already start dreaming of making it abroad at the age of seven.

“The league just isn't that attractive.

“I haven't reached my final goal yet, now the next goal is coming.

“I've been a fan of Arsenal since I was a child.

“That's my dream club, and it's my dream to get to play there.”

UNAI EMERY also went on to complement Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's formidable partnership with Alexandre Lacazette since he moved to North London.

Commenting on the pair, he said: “They [Lacazette and Aubameyang] complement each other very well. They can play both together.

“Sometimes we are playing one striker or two strikers and another moment with one winger on one side and one winger on the other side.

“We have a very big possibility with different options with Aubameyang because he can play like a lone striker, like a striker in a two and can play on the right wing and the left wing.

“But, above all, we want to be very, very aggressive in the attacking third and also with moving forward to score with him.

“With Aubameyang we can take different options with him and that is very rich for us.”

ARSENAL boss Unai Emery has vowed Arsenal will not be selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer.

Manchester United have been linked with a shock swoop for the Gabon international, with stunning reports in Italy claiming they had made a £62million offer.

But Emery has rubbished speculation that he will allow the 30-year-old to depart the Emirates following the striker's goal against Real Madrid in America.

The ex-Sevilla gaffer said: “[Selling Aubameyang is] Not really in our mind. Not really. We are very happy with Aubameyang and we don't want to sell him.”

DANI CEBALLOS joining Arsenal spells bad news for Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to former Gunners star Stewart Robson.

“[Ceballos] certainly could [be a threat to Ozil],” He told ESPN FC.

“Mesut Ozil over the last couple of years hasn’t performed on a regular basis.

“He’s been good in some games but not enough.

“I’m not sure Unai Emery likes his style of play.

“He doesn’t feel as if he can press the ball, he doesn’t feel as though he can play the style of football that he wants to play.

“That’s why I think he’s brought Ceballos in to play in that role behind two strikers.

“He was probably [Spain Under-21s’] second best player.

“He’s someone who can pick a pass, someone that can run with the ball, he’s clever with his movement, he’s clever with his passing.

“I think he’s the right sort of player for Arsenal if he doesn’t fancy Ozil and if he doesn’t fancy Mkhitaryan.”
