    In the end, a comfortable night for Brazil and the headlines will be taken by Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho.

    After a sluggish first half for the hosts, it was the former Liverpool star who stepped up from the spot to break the deadlock – and then fire in a match-winning second just moments later.

    Brazil never really got out of third gear but will be delighted to get their home tournament underway with a win, whilst Bolivia battled bravely against the odds.

    But it told that the underdogs first shot on target came in the 89th minute.

    3-0 is about right on the balance of the game, but the underdogs have no been disgraced here by any means.

    The game now being played out in the middle of the pitch, both teams waiting for the whistle. Job done for Brazil.
