CHELSEA have unveiled their third kit for the 2020-21 season and it is fair to say it has split the fanbase.

Manufacturers Nike went for unique designs for the home and away strips and this alternative kit certainly falls into the same category.

Like the bright yellow away jersey it is a bold choice of blue and orange colours, and will be loved by some but hated by others.

In the announcement on Twitter Chelsea said the third kit was "inspired by iconic outdoor brand Nike ACG".

The pattern is also unusual for a football shirt but that appears to be the direction many clubs have gone down for their third kits this season, with Puma designing very odd shirts for the like of Manchester City and Marseille.

Nike also made the brave decision to design the Chelsea crest in orange too, but it seems most Blues fans really like the new strip.

One fan even wrote on Twitter: "Chelsea this is pure sex."

Another added: "Omg. Beautiful kit."

And a third added: "Loving the vibrant colours."

But not all Chelsea supporters were in agreement, and many expressed their disapproving views.

One commented: "These kits are getting worse. It’s like they’ve let a child loose with a Crayola set and they’ve come up with this."

Another said: "Chelsea I love you but this is rank."
