Add veteran media executive John Skipper to the list of sports figures who have been impacted by COVID-19. The DAZN chairman and former ESPN president "was diagnosed with the coronavirus, and has since recovered,” a DAZN spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.
According to a report in Sports Business Daily, Skipper was tested on March 16 and had been battling a bad cold and persistent fever for the past two weeks, but was never hospitalized.
SBD reports Skipper chose to keep details of his infection private to keep his mother, who lives in an assisted living facility in North Carolina, from worrying unnecessarily.
Skipper joined DAZN in May of 2018 as executive chairman five months after unexpectedly resigning from ESPN.
