Democrats get back on the trail after a heated final debate of 2019

Fresh off Thursday night’s Democratic presidential debate in Los Angeles, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota will head right back on the campaign trail on Friday. Sanders will stay in Southern California and hold events in Moreno Valley and San Diego. Klobuchar, who turned in a strong performance at the debate and was labeled a ‘winner’ in our analysis, will start her third bus tour of Iowa and hit 27 counties through Monday, according to her campaign. The last Democratic debate of 2019 featured several key moments including a spotlight being put on the decrease in diversity on the debate stage and South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg taking heat for a recent fundraiser that was held in a wine cave in Napa Valley, Calif.
