ROY KEANE is not backing Arsenal to make the top four despite a brilliant pre-season campaign.

The Gunners beat Sevilla 6-0 in the Emirates Cup on Saturday to cap off a perfect July which also included a win over Chelsea.

Summer signing Gabriel Jesus has been in fine form and netted a hat-trick against Sevilla to take his pre-season goal tally to seven.

But Keane is not convinced Mikel Arteta's side will qualify for the Champions League after throwing away fourth place last season.

Appearing on a Sky Bet debate, Keane said: "I couldn’t agree more I think this [previous season] was their opportunity [to return to the Champions League].

"They blew it, they got into a great position, four, five games to go in the season you think they’re in pole position and they blew it.

"Man United will get better you’d of thought. Tottenham will be stronger, you can’t see it, big set-back."

The Gunners have shown promising form in the last few weeks but Arteta is still planning more additions, despite spending £117million so far.
