MANCHESTER UNITED star Bruno Fernandes returned to Sporting Lisbon on Saturday and helped inspire his old club to victory.

The 27-year-old left Lisbon for Old Trafford back in January 2020.

He has produced 49 goals for the Red Devils since but is currently on a break ahead of international duty with Portugal.

And that allowed Fernandes the opportunity to head back to his former employers at the weekend to watch them at Vitoria Guimaraes.

The Record claims that the midfielder was invited into Sporting’s dressing-room before the game.

And he delivered a “message of confidence” prior to kick off to help inspire them to victory.
