    LOAN MOVES

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is predicting more of his young stars could be set for temporary spells away from Carrington.

But many of the United boss's starlets are expected to play a part in the club's pre-season games.

The team are due to play Derby in a friendly fixture on Saturday.

Solskjaer said: "We’ve already lined up a few (loans) and some of them are still in discussions between us and the players about where is the best place to go.”

“We’ve got six weeks together before the league starts and a couple of training camps here in the UK.

“It’s the most sensible thing, we felt, being in and around here. You don’t get the, how do you say, aggravation of: 'Are we green, red or amber [in terms of travelling abroad]?'It’s just the way the world works at the moment.

“The young kids will definitely be part of the Derby game and then we’ve got another couple of games coming up and they can be part of it.”

The trio were on the receiving end of abusive messages following their penalty misses against Italy at Wembley.

On Instagram, Pogba wrote:"You win some, you lose some. You took the courage to take the penalties and you showed your worth to help your country reach the final.

"We cannot tolerate or stand for racism anymore and we will never stop combatting it.

"You boys should hold your heads high and be proud of your confidence. You are examples of this beautiful game. Never forget that.

"Be proud of yourselves, the world of football is proud of you!"

    VARANE VALUE

Real Madrid reckons Man United's £38.5million offer (45million Euros) for Raphael Varane is insufficient, according to reports.

And the LaLiga giants are thought to be holding out for at least £43m for the France centre-back according to Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness.

Varane, 28, is thought to be keen on a move to Old Trafford following his ten-year spell at Madrid.

However, Carlo Ancelotti's side hopes to retain the player.

And club officials are thought to have offered the star a new deal that includes an annual salary of £6m.

The Les Bleus player's contract with Madrid is due to expire at the end of next season.

    REAL DEAL

Raphael Varane is close to agreeing personal terms with Manchester United, according to reports.

The Manchester Evening News claims that while negotiations are "pretty slow", their sources would be "stunned" if the Frenchman doesn't complete a move to Old Trafford.

Man Utd had come up with a package worth around £50m but Real Madrid are said to be demanding a higher fee.

However, Los Blancos reportedly acknowledge that any deal won't get near the £80m they would like to receive.

However, United have yet to speak to the Spanish outfit to agree a fee for the 28-year-old French international.

That could yet prove another obstacle with reports suggesting they will want north of £50m for the centre-back.

A giant portrait of the Red Devils star can be found near Copson Street in Withington on the wall of the Coffee House Cafe.

The piece was painted in tribute to the striker's efforts to tackle child food poverty.

However, graffiti has been daubed across the artwork following England's loss.

    RED MISSED

England manager Gareth Southgate has revealed the biggest regret in his career was not playing for Manchester United.

The Three Lions boss, 50, revealed he had two dreams as a boy.

One, he achieved, playing for his country. The other was to step out at Old Trafford for the Red Devils.

Southgate appeared on BT Sport's Meet the Managers series, when he was asked what his proudest moment was as a player.

"My England debut because that is what I wanted to do since I was small," Southgate said.

"I had two goals. I wanted to play for England and Manchester United actually. I never got the chance to play for Manchester United. One out of two wasn't bad."
