The New England Patriots have another coronavirus case.
Star cornerback Stephon Gilmore has tested positive for COVID-19, NFL Network reports, and the Patriots will not hold their scheduled Wednesday practice.
Quarterback Cam Newton tested positive for COVID-19 last week, prompting the NFL to move Week 4’s Patriots-Chiefs game from Sunday afternoon to Monday night. The Patriots are scheduled to play the Broncos on Sunday.
Gilmore, 30, was the only Patriots player from Tuesday’s testing to have a positive, according to the report. Gilmore was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year last season. He’s a two-time All-Pro and a three-time Pro Bowler.
Practice-squad defensive tackle Bill Murray was also placed on the Patriots’ reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.
