Reds left fielder Jesse Winker secured the final out of Wednesday's 1-0 victory over the New York Mets at Citi Field on a sliding grab in foul territory.
On his back, Winker raised his right hand and signaled No. 1 toward the infield. About a foot from seats on the left-field line, Winker, still on the ground, started waving toward fans with a smile on his face.
Winker continued to wave as he stood up and backpedaled toward his teammates in center field. He looked back, laughing, and waved again as he sprinted away. Nearing center field, he turned toward the fans behind the outfield wall and waved to them.

He had a similar celebration after the final out in Monday's 4-3 win over the Mets, waving to fans in center field. He hit a go-ahead homer in the ninth inning.
"It's New York. I just try to give it back to them," Winker told Fox Sports Ohio after Monday's win. "I waited until an opportune time."
