Those who watched season 2 likely remember it ended with Tammy hoping to lose weight, but struggling. She also admitted to having a food addiction which contributed to her weight gain over time.

As for Amy Slaton, she and her husband, Michael Halterman, did their best to assist Tammy while also navigating parenthood with their son, Gage, who was born in 2020. We’re sure we’ll see their parenting adventures continue in season 3.

‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3 Episode 1 features Tammy Slaton’s rehab stay

What can fans expect from the 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 premiere? The first episode of the new season is titled “Welcome to Rehab,” and it features Tammy in rehab for her food addiction. Fans will also see Chris Combs go through emergency surgery.

“With her weight spiraling, Tammy makes a life-altering decision; Amy finally gets a taste of the life she’s always wanted, but, unfortunately, it’s short-lived; an emergency surgery has repercussions for Chris,” the official synopsis of the episode reads.

A sneak peek of the new season from TLC shows even more of what’s to come. Tammy has a new boyfriend, Phillip — but her family doesn’t trust him.

“He don’t like Tammy,” Chris says after he discovers Phillip doesn’t want Tammy to lose weight. “He’s got a fetish.” He then asks Tammy, “Are you OK with him walking out of your life if you’re under 300 pounds?” This conversation doesn’t seem to go over well with Tammy, of course. And it seems there’s engagement speculation between Tammy and Phillip as well.

We look forward to seeing what’s to come in the new season of 1000-lb Sisters on TLC.
