Shepherdess Amanda Owen faces more challenges on the next series of Our Yorkshire Farm, which will be arriving back on screens at the start of next week. In the meantime, the Ravenseat farmer has revealed the first look at the Channel 5 programme’s return in her latest Twitter update.
Amanda Owen shared her excitement for Our Yorkshire Farm as Channel 5 released a new trailer confirming the series’ return.
The fifth series of the show will begin next Tuesday, October 5, at 9pm.
Series five will kick off as Ravenseat buckles down for the second coronavirus lockdown last winter.
The shepherdess, 47, took to Twitter to share the news and retweeted Channel 5’s first-look trailer for the next episodes.
Amanda wrote: “I have SOOOOOOO much catching up to do.
“It’s all been happening but firstly and most importantly I must announce that there’s a new series of Our Yorkshire Farm starting next week on @channel5_tv.”
She included the channel’s own tweet confirming Our Yorkshire Farm’s return, which included a 30-second look at the next series.
“New adventures await,” Channel 5 confirmed, and also reminded fans previous episodes can be streamed on My5.
It has also been confirmed the next series will begin with what would have been the final episode of series four.
Amanda teased: “The new series starts with this episode!
“I will explain as the week goes on why this particular episode is so very special.”
The series takes a closer look at shepherdess and author Amanda Owen’s life on Ravenseat Farm, where she lives with husband Clive and nine children.

Series five will pick up from the latest instalment, which wrapped up in May of this year.
After facing another tough winter, Ravenseat took on some tough tasks including rounding up their chickens during a snowstorm, training sheepdog puppies and picking up a new dairy cow.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck the farm last series as a prematurely delivered calf passed away.
Thankfully, Amanda and her family are well equipped to deal with any crisis and seem just as capable as ever, even with the prospect of another lockdown.
The latest trailer has teased ‘new adventures, new beginnings and new surprises’ coming their way in series five.
In the footage, Amanda confirms she has been homeschooling her children as the pandemic continued into 2021.
Meanwhile, Ravenseat faced more difficult weather conditions as the Owens got their hands on some new equipment to handle the challenges of winter.
Plus, Amanda and Clive’s children lent a helping hand during a ‘stressful’ lambing season.
Our Yorkshire Farm series 5 begins on Tuesday, October 5 on Channel 5.
