Ant and Dec announce much-deserved break ahead of Britain's Got Talent return

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced they are taking a well-deserved break, ahead of a jam packed schedule.

It was recently confirmed that Britain’s Got Talent will be returning to our screens later this year, after being delayed over coronavirus, with I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here also airing this year.

And the presenters are taking a much-needed break before their schedule gets even more hectic.

In a snap shared on Instagram, they could be seen putting their feet up and relaxing, with the message: ‘See you in four weeks’.

‘We’re both taking a break for a few weeks to spend time with family and friends,’ they wrote alongside the upload.

‘Wishing everyone a great month and we’ll see you at the end of August!’

Right on cue, fans urged the pair to stay safe, and thanked them for keeping us all entertained.

‘Have a great break… Thanks for keeping us entertained during these strange times….,’ one commented.

‘Lovely. Have a lovely holiday xxx,’ another commented, while an Instagram user agreed: ‘Enjoy ya break guys stay safe.’

‘Have a lovely break you two, you deserve it xxx,’ a fan penned, as a follower added: ‘Enjoy your break well deserved take care.’

It was recently confirmed that I’m A Celebrity…will return to TV screens later this year, with Ant and Dec back at the helm.

Fans were worried about whether the series will continue following the pandemic, but ITV announced we will still get our annual dose of Bushtucker trials and famous faces.

If that wasn’t enough, the broadcaster also announced a one-off documentary called I’m A Celebrity: A Jungle Story, which will ‘celebrate all the very best moments of the show’s stellar 19-year history’.

Shout-out to strawberry gate.

Details of how the show will go ahead have yet to be announced.

As well as this, Britain’s Got Talent will also be back on our screens – meaning Ant and Dec will be pretty busy.

The semi-finals of BGT were due to air live on spring, but were pushed back over the health scare.

ITV bosses revealed the show will resume production with a one off catch up show before heading into the semi final shows, which will ‘run weekly on a Saturday night during the autumn’.

Bring it on!
