BBC Breakfast fans couldn't resist making jokes after Nina Warhurst's replacement was revealed.

Nina, 42, is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to her daughter Nancy at the beginning of the month.

As well as being a stand-in host, Nina is also a business correspondent on BBC Breakfast, but while she is away, other journalists are filling in for her.

On today's show, Ireland Correspondent Emma Vardy was in the studio with Sally Nugent and Jon Kay and discussed a range of topics including the new stamps and how people can no longer use the old form of postage.

Emma looked great in a salmon pink leopard print dress which clung to her growing baby bump.

The blonde beauty shared a snap from the set with Jon in the background and joked: "Good morning from Manchester!! Granted a rare release from Northern Ireland to bring you some business news on @BBCBreakfast @jonkay01 waving from this side of the Irish Sea border. Back soon…"

Emma was flooded with replies, with many congratulating her on her pregnancy.

But many couldn't help but joke about there being another pregnancy on the show so soon after Nina.

One fan tweeted: "Fab baby bump! They're going to need a BBC breakfast kindergarten ASAP."

Another wrote: "Good to see you Emma. Is it now a rule, BBC breakfast business presenters have to be pregnant? Don’t tell @BBCBenThompson."
