BBC Breakfast viewers tuned in to see Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty present the show today.
Throughout the morning, the hosts crossed over to the weather which was delivered by resident metrologist Carol Kirkwood, live from Ascot.
However, during one weather update, Carol confused viewers with her appearance.
Not only was she discussing the five day weather forecast for the UK, Carol was joined by several people associated with the national horse racing event to discuss what was in store for Ladies Day.
Up until 7am, Carol was seen wearing a cream short sleeved dress which she had paired with a wide black hat that had white detailing.
Following her 6.50am report, the next time she was seen on screen she was wearing an entirely different ensemble.
Those watching at home saw her in a a black and pink flowery dress and her hat had been replaced with a bold fuchsia pink one.
Many viewers were quick to notice the change and took to Twitter to comment as well as compliment Carol on her style.
One said: “Is Carol Kirkwood doing a costume change between weather reports? #BBCBreakfast.”
Someone else suggested: “@BBCBreakfast has Carol changed outfits?” Whilst a third remarked: “@BBCBreakfast I love the second outfit Carol is wearing.”

Another Tweet read: “Is Carol Kirkwood doing a costume change between each weather report? #BBCBreakfast.”
After finishing her weather report, Carol crossed back to the studio and Naga and Charlie also commented on the outfit change.
“It looks absolutely lovely down there Carol,” Charlie was heard stating. “We approve of that hat! The winner so far I think!”
The camera then switched back to the studio and Charlie continued: “Shall we run an unofficial poll? Gentleman, can we have an unofficial poll vote?”
He then turned to the business reporter Sean Farrington and sports reporter John Watson who were sitting on the sofa alongside them, with Sean commenting “Out of two hats?
“The red one. Mainly because I remember the red one!”
Did you spot Carol’s outfit change?
But Naga disagreed and stated: “Oh no, I’m the black one. The black one was really cool.”
It comes after yesterday’s show when BBC viewers tuned in to see Louise Minchin taken aback by Carol.
Presenting alongside Dan Walker, Louise was wearing the brightest yellow suit jacket and trouser combo.
But it was when they crossed to Carol for the weather that they were surprised to see her also wearing yellow.
Since it was hammering down with rain, the metrologist had chosen to brighten up her report and wore a yellow mackintosh.
Louise couldn’t help but comment on the outfit coincidence.
BBC Breakfast airs everyday at 6am on BBC One.
