The explosive reality show returned to Bravo with season six in June and drama has already kicked off. Below Deck Mediterranean has provided fans with unpredictable entertainment and following in the footsteps of the prequel series, chef Matt has branded co-star Lexi sad after an altercation.

In this season of the Below Deck spin-off, Lexi Wilson had been causing issues with her fellow crew members.

During episode four she gained sympathy from fans after she opened up and bonded with Courtney over her father’s passing.

However, this was quickly pushed aside, when she revealed that she had a burn list that included the names of her colleagues.

One, in particular, was Chef Matthew Shea – the pair had a major argument in previous episodes which resulted in Lexi including his name.

In a recent interview with decider.com, Chef Matt opened up about the tensions with Lexi and revealed his reaction to the burn list.

When asked if he was concerned about the list, he responded: “Well, I’m not sure I’m on the list but I don’t care really, I think it’s sad, poor girl.”

The argument between the pair started in episode three when the stewardess stepped in a pile of dirt.

Despite being repeatedly warned by the Chef about stepping in the pile, before accidentally stepping on it, she then planted her foot into it again.

When Matt winced, she snapped back: “Don’t worry about the f**king dirt, right now is not the time.”

Things took a turn for the worst when she stepped into the pile yet again and snapped back: “Don’t worry about it, I will sweep it up – just focus on putting the lamb on the plate,” while picking at pieces of the lamb.

However, Chef Matt wasn’t going to be told what to do in his kitchen and was fuming when she shouted: “You can’t talk to me like you’re the boss.”

“I’m in charge of the galley. Never again,” he added, pointing his finger at her.

“Never again. Get out,” he said.

The whole reason Lexi had even gone to the galley was to request more lamb for hungry guests.

But as she waited, she was slicing pieces off for herself and picking from the bowl as tensions rose with the stressed Chef Matt.

In the interview, the chef opened up about the argument and said: “I was thinking, the whole floor is clean besides this one space I cannot believe she is refusing to move.”

“Then she started eating the lamb and it was either get really mad and angry or say nothing,” he explained

He added: “I’ve got to pick and choose my battles but then when she was rushing me to plate, I thought it was more important that I just told her, it’s my galley moving forward.”
