Chris Evans' Twitter Proves He's Real-Life Captain America

If you ever wonder what Captain America does on his days off, look no further than Chris Evans’ Twitter account. He starred in Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: Winter Soldier, and most recently, Avengers: Endgame. Chris Evans plays Captain America, one of the most beloved characters in the MCU. He is also, reportedly, one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, stealing hearts at the 2019 Oscars.

When Avengers: Endgame was about to hit theaters, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans’ partnered with Omaze to support different charities. Chris Evans advocated for Christopher’s Haven, a nonprofit organization that “provides supportive housing for families whose children are receiving outpatient pediatric cancer treatments in Boston, MA.”

His philanthropy doesn’t stop there. Chris Evans was an ally for women during the #MeToo Movement and, currently, the actor is outspoken about Donald Trump’s presidency and the environment.

The ‘Captain America’ actor is often tweeting about Donald Trump and politics

He can be the silly, video-game-playing, lays-chips-loving Chris Evans, who posts pictures of his dog. He can also be the behind-the-scenes Chris Evans, who shares clips from his time on the Avengers: Endgame set. Mostly, Chris Evans uses his Twitter account to bring awareness to issues in United States politics.

The actor often tweets his support for democratic 2020 presidential candidates, like Pete Buttigieg. He also supported Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle’s Avengers-themed charity fundraiser.

However vocal on Twitter, Chris Evans’ political opinions will be kept out of his newest project, entitled “A Starting Point.”

What’s next for Chris Evans?

The actor and activist is currently working on a project to bring political information to members of the public. In April 2019, Chris Evans posted a video, where he introduced “A Starting Point,” a place where members of Congress and government officials can relay policy information in a nonpartisan, “digestible,” and accessible way.

“Great to meet @ChrisEvans this morning and talk education, workforce development, criminal justice reform, and bipartisanship. Thankfully, neither of us turned to dust at the end,” tweeted South Carolina Senator Tim Scott.

“Honor to meet you, sir. Thank you for taking the time. And if you repeat the secrets I told you about Endgame, Marvel will make sure we BOTH turn to dust,” the actor responded.

Within the last year, Chris Evans met with United States senators, including Johnny Isakson, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar, and Tim Scott, and United States Representatives, including Ted Lieu‏ and Eric Swalwell. The launch date of this website is unknown.

Aside from politics, Evans stars in multiple movies and television shows within the upcoming year. That includes Jekyll, a film inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, where Chris Evans will play Tom Jackman. C
