It's a long week ahead for Coronation Street's Toyah Battersby after delivering a heartfelt eulogy at Imran's funeral, as she said she wishes she had died instead of him.

However, there are still suspicions over her part in his death. Later, Toyah (Georgia Taylor) heads to the police station. She makes it clear she didn’t intend to kill Imran (Charlie De Melo) – but will anyone believe her?

Cathy (Melanie Hill) is shocked when Brian proposes. She has doubts about his plan for a new life in Cornwall. Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) advises Cathy to come clean, but instead she tells him she’ll marry him.

Brian (Peter Gunn) later puts an offer in on the house in Cornwall, trying to reassure Cathy of their future.

Abi’s hearing for custody of Alfie arrives. Abi (Sally Carman) mouths off about the judicial system in the court waiting room, but soon realises the woman she was talking to is the judge.

As the local authority solicitor lists all her failings, Abi’s convinced she’s blown her chances.

Phill (Jamie Kenna) breaks the news to Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) that the whole house needs rewiring. They agree the kids should move in with Tyrone (Alan Halsall) for the time being, leaving him delighted.

Bernie (Jane Hazelgrove) believes Gail’s elephant ornament is cursed. She tells the Platts the statue is creating all the negative energy in the house. Will Gail (Helen Worth) get rid of her holiday keepsake?
