Coronation Street: Paul struggles to lift his wine glass
Coronation Street’s Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash) will let his anger get the better of him in upcoming scenes.
Since meeting at a support group, Paul had grown close to his new friend Shelly Rossington (Natalie Amber), whose MND condition was at a further stage than his.
Last week, Paul reluctantly agreed to use his wheelchair after being unable to get up from a fall.
Shocked at how welcoming the Weatherfield residents made him feel about the new adjustment, he decided to call Shelly.
However, he was unaware paramedics were at her flat after Shelly’s carer revealed she couldn’t find a pulse and believed Shelly had died in her sleep.

Since then, he’s been working alongside partner Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) to plan his friend’s funeral.
Although it looks as though the day doesn’t go as planned as official ITV soap spoilers reveal there’s drama ahead.
In scenes set to air next week, Billy starts to conduct Shelly’s funeral with Paul saying a few words for his late friend.
However, when he stands to start speaking, her brother Kieran strongly objects.

Paul scolds Kieran for not supporting Shelly in her time of need when she was dying.
Getting irate over the situation, Kireran’s furious at Paul’s comments and the two men start to tussle.
However, the situation goes from bad to worse when Billy gets in the way and Paul accidentally smacks him in the face.
How will Paul react after realising what he’s just done to Billy? And will he be thrown out of the funeral for causing a scene?
It seems as though this isn’t the only drama surrounding Shelly as Paul’s mum Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) was helping her in with a scam scheme before her death.
Being questioned by the police, Bernie doesn’t say a word as she tells the authorities she was only helping a young woman with MND by collecting a few parcels for her.
However, Bernie was fully aware Shelly had been buying laptops using her old company credit card and selling them to be able to pay for her carers.
Could Bernie find herself in trouble with the law now Shelly’s gone?
Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
