Stephanie Davis discusses Coronation Street theories
Coronation Street’s Tim Metcalfe (played by Joe Duttine) is in danger this week as he is the first to find out about Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) crimes, with the actor teasing viewers they should be worried for his future.
Tonight, as ITV’s Super Soap Week kicks off, Tim is immediately in danger as he uncovers a body in the canal and attempts to get Stephen to the police station.
However, panicking that he will be found out, Stephen takes action into his own hands and silences Tim.
Discussing whether viewers should be worried for Tim throughout the week, Joe Duttine told Express.co.uk and other publications: “Yeah! I think so yeah.
“I like the fact that we don’t know what is going on and we focus on the story with the Platt’s and we focus on what is going on there.

“Yeah, I like the fact that we don’t know where he is. You almost forget about him.”
Joe also paid a sweet tribute to Todd Boyce and added: “He’s just got no ego, has he? He is playing the main part but he is really down with that.
“He just gets on with it, he turns up, does his job and sits where he wants for his dinner. He was a real joy and you just sort of get on with it, we trust each other and trust each other and just go for it.”
Spoilers for tonight reveal that Stephen realises that his time might be up, and with nothing to lose, he determines to make a final bid for freedom and will stop anyone who gets in his way.
Still being convinced about a body in the canal, he finds a discarded boat hook and starts poking about in the water when a corpse’s hand floats to the surface.

Rushing back to his cab, he calls the police and reports finding a dead body, but the phone cuts out due to a bad signal.
Before he is able to call back, he is greeted by Stephen climbing in the back seat of his cab, before strangling him with his tie in an attempt to silence him.
Tim makes a bid for freedom but trips on his shoelace and, as he clambers to his feet, he’s knocked unconscious by Stephen with a brick.
As a furious Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) assumes that Tim has gone to the county match with Kevin Webster (Michale Le Vell).
However, her husband is actually fighting for his life in the boot of his car which is being doused in petrol. Has Stephen killed again?
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
