Corrie Daniel Osbourne star Rob Mallard unrecognisable in Waterloo Road snap

Robert Mallard is best known for portraying Daniel Osbourne in Coronation Street since 2016.

The flame-haired hunk has come along away since his cobbles entrance four years ago, and has made a number of appearances in other small screen shows.

The 29-year-old looked world away's from his well-kept self when he appeared in Waterloo Road during the start of his career.

Sporting much shorter looks, Robert looked a far cry from his Coronation Street persona.

With a sullen face and ladish do, the Manchester native has undergone quite the glow-up over the years.

The British actor has bagged a number of roles in other programmes including Emmerdale, Fresh Meat and Pound House.

Robert is the third actor to play Daniel in Corrie, replacing Lewis Harney and Dominic Holmes.

Speaking about his role, he admitted it's "very exciting".

"It feels great to be starting work on Coronation Street," he said."

"I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. I grew up watching Coronation Street, so the chance to be in it, especially playing a part like Daniel, is very exciting."

His character Daniel was married to Sinead Tinker, played by Katie McGlynn, until she passed away after losing her battle with character.

Actress Katie previously met Robert when they worked on Waterloo Road together.

Speaking about their close relationship both on and off the camera, Katie, who left the soap last year, admitted they'll "stay in touch."

She told OK! Magazine: "It took me a while to figure him out. He always winds me up about it now because we’re really close friends.

"I loved working with him. We’ll definitely stay in touch."
