EASTENDERS fans have been left heartbroken after seeing Mitch run out of the house looking dazed and distraught following Dinah's suicide.

Dinah had been struggling with her MS (multiple sclerosis) battle and mental health before taking her life in harrowing scenes on Thursday night.

Viewers saw Dinah plot to end her own life as she encouraged Karen to spend the day with daughter Bailey so she could be alone.

She pretended that she was in good spirits and told Karen to give Bailey an "amazing day" before saying goodbye to the schoolgirl who was completely unaware of her plans.

Later, Mitch left the hair salon to check up on Dinah and was horrified to discover that she was dead.

He ran out of the house looking for help but couldn't speak through his shock, and wept before Mick Carter raced over.

Viewers were grieving for Dinah and in bits over the tragic scenes.

One person said: "Poor Mitch! Dinah is dead"

Another person wrote: "Dreading Bailey finding out about Dinah"

And one more fan said: "OMG I'm in tears my babes Dinah"

Dinah was seen on Tuesday night writing cards out for all of Bailey’s future birthdays – including her tenth, which is her next one.

She promised Karen that she wouldn’t write that one out until the day before, meaning she’d not take her life before Bailey’s birthday.

But as she wrote out the card alone, fans knew that Dinah – who Bailey has been caring for by herself – intended to end things.

In tomorrow’s episode, Mitch and Karen will be reeling from the shock of Dinah’s actions. Mitch will find things especially tough when the police come across Dinah’s note.

Keegan Baker – who is Bailey’s half brother – will then arrive at the scene and realise what’s happened. He’ll rush off to find Bailey so he can protect her from the truth.
