EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has gotten into the Christmas spirit as she showed off the sweet surprise she set up for her children.
The 31 year old actress shares daughters Ella, seven, and Mia, five, with her husband, the former TOWIE star Dan Osborne. She is also step mum to nine year old Teddy, Dan’s son from his previous relationship with ex Megan Tomlin.
And with the calendar flipping over to December 1st on Friday, Jac showed how she had prepared for the countdown to Christmas by sharing a video on her Instagram account on Thursday night. In her Stories, she uploaded a video that showed her dining table decorated with three festive balloons, three chocolate advent calendars and three toy elves – presumably as she will be taking part in the annual ‘Elf on the Shelf’ ritual this year.
She also uploaded a video showing her living room with a tastefully-decorated Christmas tree already up in the corner.
Jac, known for playing EastEnders character Lauren Branning from 2010 to 2018, is returning to Walford to take part in some big storylines this Christmas. And the mum-of-two has admitted how excited she is to reprise her role.
“It’s such an amazing time to be back as there is so much buzz around EastEnders at the moment. I’ve been watching and loving it like a fan,” she said.
“Walford holds a special place in my heart, so it really does feel like coming home.”
Jac has been working hard to make sure she looks – and feels – her best for her comeback, a source exclusively told OK! this week.
“Jacqueline is believing in herself again,” the insider said. “She’s very confident and is more than ready to return to EastEnders.”
Jac has been open about hitting the gym in preparation for her dramatic return to Albert Square. She even ditched the sun lounger for exercise while on a recent family holiday to Dubai.
After leaving eastEnders in 2018, Jac went on to appear on ITV series I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019 – eventually winning and being crowned Queen of the Jungle. She was also a winner of The Masked Singer Live in April 2022 at Wembley Arena, when she starred as Baby Dino.
But our source explained she was feeling good about going back to her acting roots.
“She lost her way a bit when she got into reality TV,” they said. “Her love life being played out publicly didn’t help either as that’s not her. She just wants to get back into what she loves the most – and that’s acting.”
The actress has had to weather some storms in the past few years, in particular when it comes to speculation surrounding her marriage. Jac and Dan, 32, reportedly separated for a brief time amid rumours he had an affair with Love Island’s Gabby Allen – which they both denied.
Jacqueline later reunited with Dan and he is said to be supporting his wife all the way when it comes to her new chapter in life.
“Dan’s behind Jac and is very supportive. It’s a positive future for her and life’s good at the moment,” our source said.
