Earlier this week on Emmerdale, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) got the heartbreaking news that Sandy Thomas had died over in Australia.

She broke the devastating news to Gabby (Rosie Bentham) and Arthur (Alfie Clarke), as well as her dad Doug Potts (Duncan Preston).

In tonight's episode they got ready to head Down Under to say their goodbyes to Sandy, but fans were confused as to where the money for four flights to Australia had come from.

And others suggested it would have been cheaper instead to fly Sandy's body back to the UK.

One said: "Who is paying for all these tickets to Australia?"

Another wrote: "So where's all the money coming from for air fares to Australia?"

A third tweeted: "So there's four of them plus Dottie going to Australia. Betty must have won the flaming lottery."

Someone else commented: "Why on earth would Sandy be getting buried in Australia when he's from here?"

And a fifth added: "Why exactly is Sandy's funeral being held in Australia? Shouldn't he be buried next to his son? Australia was his home for barely a year after all."

Laurel made a speedy exit instead of coming clean to Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) about where Archie's injuries were really coming from.

She discovered that it was actually Arthur who was hurting Archie, with Arthur coming clean after Sandy's death.

The youngster thought his grandad's death was his fault, as he got ill when he started hurting Archie.
